David Bird, Partner, Wills, Trusts & Probate
Hertfordshire Law Society President 2009
I qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and joined Crane & Staples in April 2000, becoming a Partner with the firm in April 2003.
I was Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the Hertfordshire Law Society from January 2002 until January 2008, when I became Vice-President. I became the Hertfordshire Law Society President in 2009.
I am mainly involved in tax planning, wills and probate, trusts and general advice for the elderly, including powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.
Hobbies:
My sporting interests are very much of the outdoor variety - such as skiing, cycling and mountain walking (I am an active member of Hertfordshire Mountaineering Club).
I also have a passion for history and a decent pint of real ale! Many of these activities have been somewhat curtailed by the birth of my son Alec in April 2008!
