I am an experienced court advocate, family solicitor and a partner at Crane and Staples.
I have specialist expertise in Child Law and am a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. I regularly appear in Court representing both children and parents in complex family proceedings and usually against opposing Counsel. My extensive experience as a court advocate ensures that clients have the option of continuity of representation in court and in the office.
I advise on all aspects of relationship breakdown, from divorce to advising separating cohabitees and in respect of their financial arrangements and in respect of children. I can offer practical and sensible solutions as well as robust and effective representation where negotiations fail.
I am also a qualified Family Mediator. Mediators are trained to help couples reach agreement about how to make the best arrangements for the future. This may be about the way the children are cared for, or how finances will be organised. As the Specialist Family Law Organisation commends, mediation can ease the pain of family breakdown by reducing tension and hostility, assisting couples make informed decisions right for their circumstances and saves on the costs of court litigation.
I am married with two children and enjoy jogging and the Hertfordshire Countryside.
In April 2007 I ran the London Marathon to raise money for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and Childline.
I'm a qualified Family Mediator with Resolution and also a member of the Law Society's Children's Panel.
