Property Litigator (5+ years PQE)
Our Dispute Resolution team seeks an experienced Property Litigator of 5 years PQE to conduct a wide range of cases in primarily contentious Commercial property including:
- Commercial lease renewals – LTA 1954
- Service Charge disputes
- Dilapidations disputes
- Landlord & Tenant issues including breaches of lease, rent arrears, forfeiture & CRAR
- Rights of way, easements & possession disputes, including removing squatters
- Trespass disputes
- Residential Possession proceedings – s.21 and s.8
The firm has a very busy transactional Commercial property department with whom you will work closely. Much of the work you do will be referred internally from that department.
A thorough knowledge of the law in this area, and particularly the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 as well as the CPR, is required.
Experience of employment law and more general civil litigation, including settlement agreements, debt recovery and miscellaneous civil disputes will be an advantage as you will also need to assist the Head of Department in these areas.
The successful candidate will report to the head of Department. You will be expected to work independently and to manage your caseload from inception to file closure.
You will be ambitious and keen to develop a thriving commercial caseload with a supportive and flexible firm who are dedicated to ensuring their people enjoy a good work life balance.
