I specialise in the financial aspects of relationship breakdown acting for both married and unmarried separating couples.
My practice includes advice and representation on divorce, the breakdown of civil partnerships and in relation to property claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
I am a member of the national family law organisation, Resolution. Resolution members promote an approach to family law that is sensitive, constructive, cost-effective and most likely to result in an agreement.
When court proceedings and a firmer approach is essential, I am an unrelenting and robust court advocate. I have many years of experience representing clients ( including children) in complex and contested matters in court before District and Circuit Judges.
I am an experienced Family Mediator and one of the few in the county with Family Mediation Council Accredited (FMCA) status.
Mediators are trained to help separating couples reach agreement together. This maybe about arrangements for children or how finances will be organised on separation. Mediation assists parties in reaching their own solutions and can substantially reduce the overall cost of separation from both an emotional and financial perspective.
As a mediator Accredited by the Law Society my clients can have confidence that they have selected a qualified professional with proven competency in all- issues family mediation and with a commitment to the Family Mediation Council’s Code of practice.
As a fully Accredited Mediator I can offer MIAMS appointments and produce certificates required by the courts and solicitors prior to the issue of court proceedings
I sit on the Hertfordshire Family Justice Board as chair of training.
Outside the office
I love running in the countryside with my beautiful border collie. I also enjoy travelling.
Danielle and the team at Crane and Staples helped conclude my divorce professionally and with an outcome that I am satisfied with. I found them via a personal recommendation and would highly recommend should you require their services. I felt that Danielle’s advice was clear, justified and well documented - but also focused on the outcome I was looking to achieve - which was the best for my children. Whilst I hope I never require this service again, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if needed.
Danielle, Thanks for all your advice and good nature during this - I have really appreciated your support.
Danielle Peters is a formidable lawyer with a quiet determination. She focuses on resolving complex matrimonial disputes with the least acrimony and always looks for solutions and avoiding unnecessary conflict. A real star.
