Danielle Peters
As Partner and Head of the Crane & Staples Family Department, I lead a team dedicated to providing expert family law services.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and became a Partner at Crane & Staples in 2009. My career spans over twenty-five years, focused on the complexities of family law.
My areas of expertise include:
- Divorce and Civil Partnership Dissolution
- Finance: Including pensions, spousal maintenance, and high net worth assets
- Financial arrangements for unmarried couples
- Child arrangements
- Child relocation
- Property claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
I frequently act in high-value financial matters, often navigating intricate pension schemes (NHS, Teachers, Military), international assets, significant property portfolios, and cases involving non-disclosure.
Additionally, I specialise in complex private children law, including matters involving allegations of abuse, international relocation, and parental alienation.
When court proceedings are necessary, I provide unwavering and robust advocacy. My extensive experience representing clients (including children) in complex and contested matters before District and Circuit Judges ensures diligent representation. I am committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for my clients, always prioritising their and their children's best interests.

Danielle and the team at Crane and Staples helped conclude my divorce professionally and with an outcome that I am satisfied with. I found them via a personal recommendation and would highly recommend should you require their services. I felt that Danielle’s advice was clear, justified and well documented - but also focused on the outcome I was looking to achieve - which was the best for my children. Whilst I hope I never require this service again, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if needed.

Danielle, Thanks for all your advice and good nature during this - I have really appreciated your support.

I just wanted to say thank you again for today. It was so reassuring to walk into the conference room and see all the paperwork laid out in perfect order - instantly relaxing me and knowing I just had to focus on the hearing. Thank you for everything you (and your team) are doing to try to get the best outcome for me - it’s really appreciated.

Dear Danielle, Thank you, in looking back over this extremely difficult time , most painful and exhausting I thank you for your care and support , particularly when I was most emotionally debilitated. I could not have navigated this part of my life without your guidance and understanding of what was truly going on , that being emotional and financial abuse. I feel like I have a future now in some peaceful and positive way , so thank you.
