Partner, Head of Family Department, Member of the Law Society Children Panel and Family Mediator (FMCA)

I specialise  in the financial aspects of relationship breakdown acting for both married and unmarried separating couples.  My  practice includes advice and representation on divorce, the breakdown of civil partnerships and in relation to property claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.

I am a member of the national family law organisation, Resolution. Resolution members promote an approach to family law that is sensitive, constructive, cost-effective and most likely to result in an agreement.

When court proceedings and a firmer approach is essential,  I am an unrelenting and robust court advocate.  I have many years of experience representing clients ( including children) in  complex and contested matters  in court before District and Circuit Judges.

As a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel I have particular expertise in the representation of parents in cases concerning living arrangements, contact and specific issues for their children.

I am an experienced Family Mediator and one of the few in the county with Family Mediation Council Accredited (FMCA) status.

Mediators are trained to help separating couples reach agreement together.  This maybe about arrangements for children or how finances will be organised on separation. Mediation assists parties in reaching their own solutions and can substantially reduce the overall cost of separation from both an emotional and financial perspective.

As a mediator Accredited by the Law Society my clients can have confidence that they have selected a qualified professional with proven competency in all- issues family mediation and with a commitment to the Family Mediation Council’s Code of practice.

As a fully Accredited Mediator I can offer MIAMS appointments and produce certificates required by the courts and solicitors prior to the issue of court proceedings

I am on the committee and training officer for the local family lawyers organisation – Resolution, Hertfordshire.

Outside the office

I love running, music and the outdoors.

I  am married with two children and a cat.

She is one of the most conscientious and reliable solicitor-advocates to appear before me, from a body of highly experienced and effective specialist advocates. She exercises mature judgement in identifying the issues in the case and a clear and balanced presentation to the court both orally and in writing. She is assiduous in seeking the proper resolution of the problems or issues the case presents. She evidently carries the trust and confidence of her clients, and it is clear that her clients are at their ease with her.
