I am Head of Employment and Dispute Resolution, providing cost-effective, practical, legal advice to both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law and HR support. I also advise and act for clients in contentious probate/Inheritance Act claims, and debt recovery. I head up a dedicated team that gives clear and practical legal advice with a minimum of jargon.
I joined Crane & Staples in 2013, having previously worked for several years in a niche City practice specialising in employment law. I qualified in 1993.
Misuse of Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms in the workplace are areas I am very interested in and have spoken about on BBC Radio. I occasionally contribute to the Financial Times Q&A section on employment law issues.
If you are a start-up or small business, worried about employment law, or you need advice on disciplinary/grievance situations, or on structuring contracts of employment/employee handbooks, I can probably help you.
Alternatively you may be a senior executive who needs advice in a redundancy situation and have been given a settlement agreement. Again, we can usually assist and can probably improve the terms of the agreement you are given.
Outside the office
Away from work I like cycling and running, as well as watching football.
