I started working for Crane and Staples in April 2015 as a Legal Secretary in the Commercial Property department. In October 2017 I became a Graduate Member with CILEx.
I support the fee earners in our commercial property department with any administrative and communicative tasks required as part of the transactions we deal with. This includes amending and preparing documents as well as taking enquiries by phone and email from new and existing clients and other parties to the transaction.
I am also an active member of the firm’s marketing committee and assist with organisation and participation in the firm’s marketing, charitable and social events. This included supporting the 2018 Hertfordshire Law Society President, Attia Hussain with the organisation of the Hertfordshire Law Society Annual Dinner of the same year.
I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2011 with a Joint Honours degree in Law with Journalism and Media Cultures. I then completed the Legal Practice Course the following year, also at the University of Hertfordshire.
Whilst studying for my degree, I also volunteered at a local Citizens Advice Bureau.
Outside the office
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going for meals out and also going on holiday. I like keeping up to date with showbiz/entertainment news and I love live music and theatre, so I always look forward to festival season and going to an outdoor cinema if I can.
As part of the firm’s charitable events, I have also completed a 5k Pretty Muddy run in 2016, a 5k Bubble Run & 8km St Albans legal walk in 2018, and a 5k Race For Life in June 2019.
