David Martin
We are sad to report that former partner of this firm, David Martin, died on 24 December 2015.
David started his career as an articled clerk with Crane & Staples in 1957 and qualified as a solicitor in 1959. He was a partner from 1961 until 1999 and then worked as consultant for five years, finally retiring in 2004. He helped to maintain the success of the firm and many of the local businesses will also have received his help due to his specialism in Commercial Law.
A friendly man, easy to approach and always quick with a joke, David was a source of wisdom for his colleagues and he particularly enjoyed encouraging and teaching the junior lawyers and trainees.
As a member of the local business community he was well known in Welwyn Garden City and also in Welwyn village where he lived and raised a family along with his wife Myra. Our thoughts are with her at this time.
