Chris Lane makes bail!

Chris and some of his fellow inmates had to do an extra 30 minutes porridge!

Chris Lane has just been released from the Howard Centre jail after raising nearly £1300 for the Isabel Hospice!

'The Howard Centre' 8 as they called themselves agreed to go to jail and raise money for the Isabel Hospice as part of their new 'Jail and Bail' fundraiser. Imprisoned in the middle of the Howard Centre since 11 O'clock this morning, the group included Terry Mitchinson from Welwyn Hatfield Times and Monique Chandler from the Howard Centre.

Chris said that the people of Welwyn Garden City had been really generous and the group all had fun while raising much needed funds for such an excellent cause. Estimates are that over £6,500 has been raised.
