Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – success!

On the 11th of June, Trainee Solicitors Tom Axon and Elizabeth Russell took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Isabel Hospice.

The challenge, which is a continuous walk of 25 miles and climbing over 7,000 ft, must be completed in just 12 hours! The three peaks consists of Ingleborough (723 metres), Pen-y-Ghent (691 metres) and Whernside (728 metres), all of which form part of the Pennine range.

Less than 12 hours!

The Isabel Hospice team successfully completed the challenge in less than 12 hours.  Luckily the Great British weather held back the rain for most of the day. Unfortunately, due to the low clouds, the team could not appreciate the views from the top but a sure sense of achievement was up there with them!

In total, the challenge has raised over £7,500 for the hospice! Tom and Elizabeth, raising just under £1,200 for the charity, would like to extend their thanks to everyone who has donated.  At Crane & Staples we are always willing to support the hospice in any way we can and it is fantastic when our colleagues go the extra mile to do something for our local community.

If you would like to make a donation, please visit Tom and Elizabeth’s Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/Liz-Tom  or Text 'GWYS68 £5’ with your name (or the amount you wish to donate) to 70070.
