A Special Award at the Herts Law Society Dinner

On 6th June, the Crane & Staples team attended the annual Hertfordshire Law Society Dinner at Hatfield House. As always, this was a fantastic event, celebrating the success of solicitors in Hertfordshire. We would like to thank President Judith Gower and the rest of the Hertfordshire Law Society Council for hosting the evening.

This was a particularly special night for us because it featured the inaugural Hertfordshire Law Society Excellence Awards.

We were absolutely delighted that our very own Georgina Donnellan was awarded Hertfordshire Law Society Junior Lawyer of the Year 2019. This is a highly prestigious accolade, given to an individual who has shown an exceptional standard of work as well as great dedication in their role as a junior lawyer. Georgina is a Solicitor in our Wills, Trusts and Probate department. This award recognises her exceptional legal knowledge, commitment to client care and efficient case management. She is a popular member of staff and we are all so proud of her outstanding achievement.

In addition, Elizabeth Russell, in our Employment and Dispute Resolution Department, received a special mention in the highly-contested category for Outstanding Contribution to the legal profession. Elizabeth was recognised for her role as joint chair of the Herts Junior Lawyers Division, highlighting the hard work she has put in to supporting and encouraging junior lawyers in the county. It is very impressive for Elizabeth to be commended in this very competitive category at such an early stage in her career. Congratulations to fellow runner-up Richard Crocker of Taylor Walton, and the winner, Yomi Oni-Williams, director of Owens Solicitors.
